There are lots of trends in interior design, with the furniture to complement it, but some pieces just stay with us forever. One of these is the Wishbone Chair by Carl Hansen: the chair was made by Hans J. Wegner for the brand in 1949. Today the simple but beautiful design is still relevant.
The chair is made of a wishbone shaped back with an arrow on top of it to rest your arms at. Due to the handwoven square shaped seat made from 120 metres of paper cord, the chair is very comfortable. Despite the clean and simple design, there are over a 100 steps to construct the chair.
The Wishbone Chair is available in many variaties which all come with an pretty hefty price tag (the chair can be bought from 625 euro and up), but the design is so worth it. There’s a reason that the chair has been a great success for 65 years now.
